CharityDynamics leverages technology to help non-profits organize, market, and drive their campaigns. CharityDynamics needed to create an app that helped participants raise money more quickly and seamlessly with their existing set of daily tools. Hired as a contractor to redesign their mobile fundraising app, I started with the users’ needs and worked my way up to the business goals.
I conducted an initial round of interviews with potential end-users who revealed the same simple desire: a guided path to achieve their fundraising goals. Stakeholders wanted a tool that would increase revenue and campaign awareness. CharityDynamics was the perfect fit. By integrating weekly tips for success, a library of tailored social media messages, and easy access to campaign stats and progress, the new design delivered a tool that shared, collected, and achieved everyone's fundraising goals.
I am an addict for designing simple user experiences in the mobile environment. Connecting the dots between user needs and company objectives and delivering a product that makes both sides smile is invigorating. This project allowed me to connect with the users through a series of interviews and usability tests to define the end-user stories that were then turned around to meet the business objectives. Simple, slick, and connected was the foundation of the design.
