After several successful beta runs, we became the first app to accurately track marathon athletes’ location throughout a race in real time. At that point, I was asked to create a product brand to market the new technology. Mile for Mile was birthed.
From conceptualization to design, I created a campaign that successfully launched 7 marathon apps in the first year. We partnered with local athletic groups to expand the platform across cycling events and triathletes. From press releases, news coverage, online, and print collateral, we set the industry benchmark for real-time athlete tracking.
Mile for Mile provides marathon organizers the ability to create a custom iOS® and Android® apps for real-time athlete tracking. Not only does the app allow participants and spectators to track multiple runners on race day, but it also gives access to the race schedule, instant news about the event, race merchandise and memorabilia, and runner results.
